Community Guidelines
Last updated 16 July 2026
Our commitment
date is built on the idea that authentic connections begin with respect. These guidelines exist to protect every person on this platform and to ensure that voice — our most honest medium — is used to bring people together, not to harm them. They sit alongside our Terms of Service.
You must be 18 or older
date is strictly for adults. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to use this platform. We will permanently remove any accounts we determine to belong to minors. If you think someone is underage, do not engage — report them.
Be yourself
Your profile must represent the real you. Do not impersonate another person, create fake accounts, or misrepresent your identity. The point of date is that your voice reveals who you really are.
- Use a real name or the name you go by, and your own recent photos
- Do not impersonate celebrities, public figures, or other users
- Do not create multiple accounts or misrepresent your age or gender
- Do not use AI-generated or stolen photos designed to mislead
Treat others with respect
Every person on this platform deserves to feel safe. The following behaviour will result in account suspension or ban:
- Harassment, abuse, or threatening language
- Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or any other protected trait
- Unsolicited sexual content
- Stalking or persistent unwanted contact after someone has blocked you
- Sharing another person's private information without consent (doxxing)
No spam or scams
Do not use date to solicit money, promote products or services, share referral links, or run any scheme designed to deceive or financially exploit other users. Asking other members for money, loans, investments, or gifts is prohibited. Accounts found to be operating scams will be permanently banned and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Respect privacy on calls
- Do not record, capture, or share someone's voice, image, or personal details without their clear consent
- What's shared in a conversation stays in that conversation
Keep it legal
Nothing illegal, and nothing that promotes harm to yourself or others. Illegal activity will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Enforcement
We review reports and take action proportionate to the severity of the violation:
- Warning — first-time minor violations
- Suspension — repeated or more serious violations
- Permanent ban — severe violations or continued behaviour after suspension
Reporting
If you see behaviour that violates these guidelines, use the Report button on any profile or during a call. All reports are confidential. You can also email admin@zone.au for urgent concerns. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
