Terms of Service
Last updated 16 July 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Xnet, which operates date (the "Service"). By accessing or using date you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Licence to use
Permission is granted to use date for personal, non-commercial purposes. This is a licence, not a transfer of title. Under this licence you may not:
- Modify, copy, or redistribute the Service materials except as allowed by law
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written permission
- Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or interfere with any part of the Service
- Remove any copyright or other proprietary notices
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use date. You confirm that the date of birth you provide is accurate. Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 are permanently removed. You must not use date if a court or law bars you from using a service like this.
4. Your account
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Maintain the security of your sign-in (Google or Apple)
- Keep one account per person
- Accept responsibility for activity on your account
5. How date works
date shows you other adults who are online near you and lets you ask to talk by live voice. Calls are real-time and are not recorded. You decide who to contact and who to talk to. We don't guarantee you'll match with anyone or that anyone you meet is who they claim to be — use your judgement (see our Safety tips).
6. User conduct
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, you will not:
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or hate-speech anyone
- Send unsolicited sexual content or be sexually explicit without consent
- Use date if you are under 18, or interact with anyone you believe is
- Impersonate others, use fake photos, or misrepresent your age or identity
- Solicit money, run scams, spam, advertise, or promote commercial activity
- Record, capture, or share another person's voice, image, or details without consent
- Do anything illegal, or encourage others to
7. Content you provide
You keep ownership of the photos and text you add. You grant Xnet a limited licence to host, process, and display that content to operate the Service. You are responsible for what you upload and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
8. Safety, reporting, and enforcement
You can block and report anyone in the app. We review reports and may, at our discretion:
- Warn — for first-time or minor violations
- Suspend — temporarily restrict access for repeated or more serious violations
- Permanently ban — remove accounts for severe violations or continued behaviour after a suspension
We may act without prior notice where the risk is serious. Illegal activity may be reported to the appropriate authorities. Banned accounts may have their data deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time from Your profile → Delete account. Upon deletion, your profile and associated data are permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This action is irreversible. Reports and other safety records may be retained as described there.
10. Disclaimer
dateis provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement — and do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that matches or interactions will be safe or successful. You interact with other users at your own risk.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Xnet is not liable for any damages (including loss of data, profit, or business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use date, or for the conduct of any user. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded — including under the Australian Consumer Law, where our liability is limited to resupplying the Service where permitted.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use date after changes means you accept them.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service.
